Online Plant Selections Trending For 2022 – Order For Delivery

 March 23, 2022

Plants have a way of making homes warm and inviting. While they have the label as being a “trend,” it seems that the passion is timeless for this one. Not only do they make us happy and calm, but they can literally make us feel better considering the health benefits science has purported for the greenery.

When you’re unsure of what to put in a particular space from a design aspect, you can add some foliage and the area is complete with precisely the right aesthetic. The continuing joy will never cease, but it doesn’t stop the gardening industry from defining the latest trends in which plants are coming in and those on their way out.

Some off and online companies like Planted Pot announced what will be coming up this year in the plant world. While gardeners agree on a few suggestions, some are not so sure about all of them, and much of the audience is determined to stick to what they love, whether it’s heading out or not. Let’s look at what’s on the list.

Guideline On Potted Plant Selections Trending For 2022

Many people deal with extreme stress and residual cases of depression and anxiety that occur from that tension and pressure.

In attempting to cope, more people are finding ways to participate in hobbies, especially those involving working with their hands and busying their minds. A lot of individuals find working with plants very cathartic, relaxing, and rewarding.

The suggestion is that science indicates plant parents tend to be calmer. The hobby boasts the ability to elevate moods and promotes the behavior of being present in the moment, otherwise referenced as mindfulness.

In saying that, more people are engaging with foliage and enjoying the activity. Learn statistics concerning houseplants at https://gardenpals.com/houseplant-statistics/. The hobby’s popularity is increasing the favor of a few different plants this year. Check out which options people are taking home.

●     The Ficus

These were once the dreaded dusty plant sitting in the corner of many company lobbies. Fortunately, people are dragging it out of the corner and finding it a bonus feature for their design concepts.

The latest that more individuals were drawn to was the “fiddle leaf fig,” but it might be moving aside in 2022 in favor of the “Ficus Benjamina” and the “Ficus Umbellata.”

The leaves on the two newcomers are unusual and distinct, with the Umbellata showing as large, almost heart-shaped with a stick-straight growth process that will conserve space but provide height in time.

Plus, it’s not as hard to care for as the fiddle-leaf, which has developed a reputation for being difficult. Umbellata enjoys bright light.

Benjamina provides a shiny green brilliant green leaf with branches that almost weep. The canopy is distinctly rounded, allowing a homeowner to build an entire room around the plant’s vibe. It requires minimal maintenance, with the tree sold at an already decent height for any space.

●     Venus Flytrap / Pitcher Plant

The suggestion is that these “carnivorous plants” that require the homeowner to stick live insects into their little plant mouths to digest the critters are a new trend for the 2022 year.

I’m not so sure about this one. The indication since more people are working remotely is that these help keep homes pest-free. I work remotely, and I enjoy plants but finding live bugs to kill by way of plant consumption doesn’t sound pleasant; it sounds almost inhumane.

These are not harmful to humans. In fact, they’re soft in the same way any foliage would be when you touch it. They simply “swallow” an insect, and the bug can’t get back out once it is “consumed.”

You actually do need to provide a live subject, or the plant won’t open. I’m not sure if a fly would land on the plant or if it knows better.

●     Ferns

Ferns are a new take on an old tradition. These have been another timeless option that parents of parents have had in their homes. The fern’s foliage is textural, with the plant being one of the most versatile of the container plants and among the most resilient.

There’s no specific light they need to have. The greenery is adaptable to basically any environment. If you have the perfect spot, but there’s minimal light, it will be fine there.

Or if you prefer to sit it in the bright and sunny kitchen, again, it will thrive; either outside or indoors doesn’t make a difference. Click for guidance on caring for houseplants.

The nice thing about a fern is you can find so many different variations buying a few of each to have a nice blend. There is the kangaroo fern, rabbit fern, and blue star. You’ll also find what’s known as the foxtail fern though they indicate this is technically not a fern, but the appearance begs otherwise.

Final Thought

In the not-too-distant past, plants became a household staple, but the concern was how they would affect the aesthetic that homeowners were trying to bring into their design schemes.

Because there are so many varieties with such stunning style, the foliage can become a focal point to design around. Some are exceptionally exotic; even the carnivorous plants are eerily beautiful.

We’re bringing nature inside since we spend so much time there. It’s working in our favor in terms of warmth, vibrancy, and getting a healthful component as a bonus.
